It promises to be another summer of heavy recruitment for Pompey as they strive to bolster John Mousinho’s squad for the challenges of the Championship.
At the season’s end, 10 of the League One champions were released, among them first-team regulars Sean Raggett and Joe Rafferty.
However, of those remaining contracted players, the Blues may be tempted to let others depart during the summer transfer window, which opens on Friday.
That may be on loan or permanent, for development or surplus to requirements - the reasons can vary.
And here are six players we think who could be considered for summer moves from Fratton Park...

![Now stepping up a level, it’s not unreasonable to assume Stevenson will struggle even more for game time, particularly with the Blues wanting to strengthen the centre of their midfield.
Incidentally, the 27-year-old, who has 12 months remaining on his Fratton Park deal, has never played above League One in his career.

![The Northern Ireland midfielder has a big Fratton Park future, let’s make that abundantly clear from the start, yet there may be consideration to loan him out in 2024-25.
A shoulder ligament injury at Oxford United in January effectively ended a highly-promising first season, although the 20-year-old did return for the final match of last season for a one-minute cameo off the bench.
Regardless, an impressed John Mousinho admitted the Glentoran recruit had adapted quicker than anticipated to League One, totalling 25 appearances and two goals, including the memorable strike at Reading.
However, with the Blues stepping up a level and set to strengthen the centre of midfield, it remains to be seen whether Devlin will subsequently drop behind in the pecking order.

![Certainly the Blues will want to hand the young talent minutes to maintain his development and potentially a loan spell away from Fratton Park could be the answer.
Although there is absolutely no way they will consider a permanent departure for Devlin, who is contracted until the summer of 2026.

![One of the best discoveries of Rich Hughes’ early days at the club, although Danny Cowley and Simon Bassey were also instrumental in identifying the central defender.
Initially a first-team regular in the second half of the 2022-23 season, Towler fell down the pecking order following the recruitment of Conor Shaughnessy and Regan Poole, and Sean Raggett’s rejuvenation.
Certainly it was no reflection on the 22-year-old’s ability and he reminded us all of his ability with a man-of-the-match display at Lincoln on the final day of last season, representing just his third league start of the campaign.
The former Bristol City man remains highly regarded at Fratton Park and, like Devlin, will definitely not be sold this summer, very much seen as Pompey’s future.
