Boy, 13, slapped in the face by stranger on Hampshire bus as police search for man

Police are searching for a man after a boy was slapped in the face on a bus.

The child, 13, was attacked by a stranger while travelling on the number 17 Bluestar bus between 3 and 3.30pm. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the incident took place on May 15 in Southampton.

They added that the boy sustained a minor injury when he was assaulted by a man unknown to him. Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to, who was seen in the area at the time.

He is described as white and aged between 40 and 50-years-old. The man was wearing wearing a green cap, grey shirt, jeans and a blue bomber jacket, while carrying a small bag over his shoulder.
