D-Day is almost upon us with clubs across the Championship still awaiting the decisions on some of their out of contract players.
Sunday, June 30 is when the contracts of players expire. After that, they are no longer contracted to the club and won't be in receipt of any wages. They can of course remain at their clubs but that will be on a month-to-month basis, and there will be no strings attached.
Pompey have a few players to sort out, such as Marlon Pack, Joe Morrell and Zak Swanson. Pack is likely to stay, but in Morrell's case, he has received a lot of interest, and with Birmingham City and Wrexham both chasing his signature, he might have a decision to make.
Morrell is currently nursing a knee injury and has been rehabilitating at the training ground. Head coach John Mousinho did say that an update would be provided closer to when pre-season begins, but right now the Welshman's future is up in the air.
Pompey have so far signed one player and that was Jordan Williams. He joined from Barnsley after his contract expired, and apparently they beat off competition from Cardiff City and West Brom to get him.
Free agent signings could be the way to go for Pompey as they will have a tough battle competing with some of the teams in the Championship that are able to pay big fees for players. Getting players with experience of the division will be key in their potential battle against relegation next season.
Here, we take a look at the players that are either about to become a free agent or have already been confirmed as one, ahead of the big day on Sunday.
