Earlier forecasters warned that winds of up to 65mph could hit the city between Thursday evening and Friday.
The weather warning, which is classed as yellow '“Â the lowest of the three levels '“Â means there is a chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs or through falling trees and branches.

Hide AdBut the Met Office has now issued a second yellow weather warning between 9am on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
Wind speeds of up to 45mph are expected as commuters head back to work after the weekend.
On the website the Met Office says: '˜Potential for another very windy spell across parts of the UK on Sunday and into early Monday.
'˜There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.'
