With summer not too far around the corner, I’ve decided to make a list of my favourite beaches in the Portsmouth area.

From classic seaside spots to more quirky additions, here are 6 beaches in the Portsmouth area which I absolutely love.

I love taking a walk along the historic sea wall to vist Hot Walls Beach, which also offers the opportunity to visit the Round and Square Towers.

The first time I walked along the seafront, starting at South Parade Pier and heading east, I was certainly in for an eyeful. As it turns out, Eastney Beach is popular with the naturist community. I'm glad that this quirky addition to our city exists - though its not one which I personally frequent.
