More than 100 toys donated for children across Havant thanks to work of Lions club
While the pandemic disrupts many people’s Christmas plans, Havant Lions are still trying to make a difference during the festive season and make Christmas a little better for children.
Donations from UK company Character Options mean the group are able to hand over more than 100 toys to Stop Domestic Abuse and Havant Social Services to dish out to those who need it.

The firm, which has donated to various charities across the country, has helped the Havant Lions Club to be able to pass on these toys to many children in the Havant area.
Ian Ranscombe, Havant Lions’ president said: ‘It’s great that we’ve been able to carry on this tradition of helping local youngsters this year. Unfortunately, Covid means that most of our other Christmas activities have had to be cancelled.
‘It’s particularly sad that we won’t be able to take our Santa Sleigh collection for the first time in more than 40 years. However, we have launched an online Christmas appeal on our website for anyone who would like to donate that way instead though.
