Community projects hit jackpot in region
MORE than £176,000 in National Lottery funding was granted in Fareham and Gosport in 2017.
Figures released by the National Lottery show that 14 grants were awarded in the area last year – providing a boost to arts, sports and heritage projects.
£3,000 was given to Fareham and Gosport Lip Readers for hearing loss management sessions for people with a hearing impairment, and £10,000 was awarded to Uplands Primary School in Morshead Crescent, Fareham to create a multi-purpose play area.
