Man charged with Bursledon burglary, vehicle interference and carrying a knife in public near Southampton

A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with burglary other than dwelling and vehicle interference in the Bursledon area.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said: “Jamie Bruce Dean Dixon, of Staplehurst Close, Southampton, has been charged with a burglary at The Plough, Portsmouth Road and a vehicle interference on Bursledon Heights, both on Friday, June 14. He has also been charged with going equipped for theft and possession of a knife in a public place.”

Dixon appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 18 June) and was remanded on conditional bail. He will appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday, July 22.
