Thomas Green, 32, of Tidcombe Green, Havant, admitted careless driving when his Mercedes Benz Atego lorry struck Piotr Gilmajster, 27, in Oak Park Industrial Estate, Northarbour Road, at 3.44pm on Wednesday December 7, 2022. Mr Gilmajster, of Estella Road, Buckland, died at the scene.
Green appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court where he was spared jail with the defendant given a six-month prison term suspended for two years. He was also told to complete 15 rehabilitation days, 200 hours of unpaid work and was handed a 12-month driving ban.

Hide AdA police spokesman said after the accident: “Piotr Gilmajster died following a collision at Oak Park Industrial Estate on Northarbour Road. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Officers are investigating the circumstances that led to this collision.”
