THE mother of a cyclist who died after a collision with a motorcycle has described him as her ‘darling boy’.

Brett Michael Thorne, 39, of Fareham, was taken to Southampton General Hospital following the crash on Portsdown Hill Road on Tuesday evening but police confirmed he has now died.

In a statement mum Susan said: ‘My darling son, I love you so much. I'm absolutely devastated, you'll always be in my heart.

‘You shouldn't have gone the way you did and so young.
