Hard-fought win propels Jets forwards... Tough for Stars

JETS had to really up their game to beat Youngstars White 50-38 in week four of the Gosport & Fareham League division one.

Laura Firbank was outstanding in defence for Jets.

Stars beat Foxes 58-44 but made hard work of the game.

Angels worked hard all game but Rubies’ super court play and defence made sure they claimed the win of 34-27.

And Antonios lost 60-45 to Youngstars Red who won 60-45.

In division two GB Avengers are still on fire as they beat Inovolt 39-34.

And Martinis got their first win since gaining promotion as they beat US Pinks 34-30.

Browns have made a good start to the season since relegation but suffered their first defeat to GB Mavericks who won 36-33 win.

Foxes seconds were looking for their first win and got it as they narrowly beat Jokers 38-36.

The match could have gone either way with both teams in good form.

In week five, Jets had a slow start against Youngstars Red.

But they pulled away after half-time to make sure they won 55-25.

And Rubies had a close game with Stars.

It was an impressive last quarter from Stars that proved decisive in the end.

They recorded a 45-30 success.

Angels faced Youngstars White in a friendly, fast paced game.

It was Youngstars who pulled away during the last quarter to win 48-42.

Sarah Gaffney claimed loose balls for the winners.

Foxes and Antonios battled it out for a win but could only settle for a 35-35 draw.

In division two, Inovolt had a good win against US Pinks in a competitive game ending 36-29.

And Martinis claimed their second win to climb the table beating Foxes II 36-26.

Katie Luff shone for GB Avengers but they lost 35-21 to Browns.
