Pompey will host Plymouth Argyle in a clash that is billed as the '˜Dockyard Derby' in some corners.Â

However with the clubs being roughly 170 miles apart it is not exactly a local rivalry '“ let us know whether you consider it a derby in our poll here: 

The '˜Dockyard Derby' label is loathed by much of the Fratton faithful, with Pompey's official twitter account humorously posting about muting the term ahead of today's game.

Unlike the South Coast derby clashes with hated rivals Southampton, the '˜rivalry' between Portsmouth and Plymouth is seen as artificially created among many fans. 

Although their is no denying that both cities do have dockyards as well as football teams. So the Dockyard part is irrefutable.
