Historian Tom Holland has published a fascinating picture of how Nelson might look as an admiral in today's Royal Navy.

He tweeted the image for Trafalgar Day, saying: ‘Nelson as he might look today.’

The picture includes Nelson with a metallic false hand.

Tom is a leading historian and the author of Rubicon: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Roman Republic.

He is the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Making History and has written and presented a number of TV documentaries, on subjects ranging from religion to dinosaurs.
