I'm fortunate that I get to meet such amazing people
It’s all because I’ve been filming episodes of the BBC 1 daytime series I’m producing called Caught Red Handed.
If you want to see what it’s all about, it’s actually on at 11.45am on weekdays (shameless plug) and is presented by Dom Littlewood.

I’ve been in County Armagh, Northern Ireland in a place called Lurgan, which I now know has had quite a turbulent history.
So much so that during the Troubles it was apparently known as ‘murder town’.
You can imagine my mother’s response when I told her that I was visiting this place!

We were interviewing some lovely people from a family hardware store called the McKerrs.
It’s been in the family for decades and has survived two IRA bombings and two fires.
Their stories were absolutely fascinating to listen to.
So much has happened to them, yet they are still here to tell the tale.

Hide AdSome people make the mistake of thinking what we do in the media world is glamorous or exotic.
I can tell you from experience that most of the time it really isn’t.
But when I get to meet amazing people like the McKerrs and travel to parts of the country I’ve never seen before, I do consider myself fortunate to be doing this job.
It hasn’t all been gallivanting around though.
I’ve also found time to do some decorating at our new home, a bungalow in Clanfield.

It looks rather amazing, even if I do say so myself. I didn’t know I had it in me!
WE ALL WANT TO KNOW WHY ZAYN DECIDED TO QUIT ONE DIRECTION
Have you ever wondered what it must have been like to be catapulted to stardom as a member of the world’s most famous band, One Direction?
If so, then you might well want to buy former band member Zayn Malik’s new book.

Hide AdThe tell-all autobiography talks about Zayn’s life and his feelings about relationships, love and the world.
But let’s be honest, what we all want to know more than anything is what it was like being in One Direction?
Then there’s the big question of why he decided to quit the band. What was the real reason?
I’m sure it’s going to b a riveting read and that Simon Cowell and his legal team will be closely scrutinising every word when it comes out in November.
WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL? ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CHANGE CHANNELS

Hide AdThe biggest entertainment story this week is undoubtedly Great British Bake Off moving from BBC 1 to Channel 4 and losing its presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc in the process.
This show has got even the most kitchen-phobic people interested in how to knead dough and how to make your sponge rise.
The viewing figures are massive and it’s one of the BBC’s big-hitters.
But from the next series you’ll have to tune into Channel 4 and put up with ad breaks after Love Productions sold the rights for a reported £25m.
I can’t really see what the big deal is though. All you have to do is flick to another channel and they’ll still be baking cakes. As we say in the biz, it’s only TV.
