Somers Town attack believed to be an 'isolated incident', according to police

Officers were called to Margate Road in Somers Town at 10pm on Monday after reports that a 20-year-old man and 28-year-old man had been stabbed.
The 20-year-old man had suffered injuries to his shoulder and abdomen, while the 28-year-old had wounds on his upper left shoulder.

Hide AdBoth men were treated for their non-life-threatening injuries at Southampton General Hospital.
Now police say they believe the incident poses ‘no wider risk to the community’, according to Det Insp Nicola Burton of Hampshire Constabulary’s Criminal Investigation Department.
She said: ‘We understand that members of the public will be concerned about what has happened.
‘We would like to reassure you that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the community.

Hide Ad“Officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries in order to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident. If anyone has any concerns, please come and speak to us.
‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen or heard anything.
‘Perhaps you have CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area at the time.’
