Paanchi Indian Street Kitchen reopens for takeaway in Fratton

Paanchi Indian Street Kitchen, in Fratton Road, reopened on Monday, May 25.
The popular restaurant will be offering takeaway and delivery options only, with no dine-in options.

Hide AdThe phone lines will be manned from 4.30pm onwards and diners who spend over £15 will receive a free side dish.
Owner Shahriar Uddin said: ‘We would like to thank all our customers and followers for their support.
‘It was great being back, it gives us great pleasure to know our hard work and food is really appreciated.
‘We maintained our charity commitments even when we were closed, including supplying food to homeless shelters, cooked by my mum.

Hide Ad‘Despite the gloominess of the pandemic, myself and the staff enjoyed Ramadan at home.
‘The team are happy to be together again as we have a family spirit.’
Paanchi offered delivery-only for a while after lockdown began but closed permanently to protect the health and wellbeing of the team, with plans to reopen on May 29.
